EMO Electric, a Long Island maker of electric boat outboard motors, will hold a grand opening event at its first retail location.
The company’s flagship retail location is at 215 Atlantic Ave. in East Moriches. The grand opening event will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at the Atlantic Cove Marina. The event will feature food and drinks, along with boat rides and demos of the company’s 21-foot electric Scout Dorado, powered by Flux Marine‘s 100 horsepower electric outboard, which reaches a top speed of 30 miles per hour without any direct emissions and a fraction of the noise of a gas outboard.
