GLENS FALLS – Sustainable PR, a public relations agency in Glens Falls, has been
nominated for a marketing/communication award.

The agency is a finalist for a 2025 Capital Region MARCOM award, which recognizes excellence
in marketing and communications. Awards in a variety of categories will be given out at an
event on Nov. 20, 2025. Sustainable PR is nominated in the public relations campaign category,
competing against Corning Place Communications, Excelsior University, Baker Public
Relations, The Martin Group (which has two campaigns nominated in this category), and
Headline Media of Upstate NY.

“We are immensely proud of this nomination,” said account manager Lydia Miner in an email
to The Post-Star. “[Our] campaign proves that a well-crafted narrative can beat massive ad
budgets, and an award would celebrate the real-world brand recognition and growth we
achieved for a deserving brand.”

According to its website, Sustainable PR is “the only green-focused public relations agency led
by senior-level PR practitioners with decades of experience winning media exposure and
audience engagement for growing companies.”

The Warren Street-headquartered company faced an uphill battle attempting to raise the brand
profile of Nichols Farms, a family-owned and operated organic pistachio farm in California.
Miner’s team was tasked with creating a campaign that would differentiate their client from a
major competitor with an 80% market share.

“In a market where one brand dominates 80% of the shelf space, our strategic, personalized
approach cut through the noise,” Miner said. “Securing placements like the ‘TODAY Show’
wasn’t luck; it was the result of effectively shaping the Nichols Farms’ story of quality,
sustainability, and generational integrity around consumer trends.”
